I suggest a Redpowersubsection.
FenixR brought me to that Idea again.
Assholes are very good for getting Ideas, especially on Toilets.

That's a thing Eloraam got to decide.
I jokingly posted something about this in the Redpower thread but she either ignored it or it was swamped with other post pretty fast. Especially since i saw a post by her saying she tried making a forum once but the project wasn't entire successful because she could not keep a good moderation team.
QuoteSome random dood: A FORUM is what redpower needs... not a THREAD
Eloraam: I tried, I failed. Each time I've tried to establish something like that, I just can't keep enough moderators to make it worth doing. So no, a thread is fine for me.
While i was bored, i saw that the IC1-Section is only used from Firstposters, who don't know that it's not the same as IC², even if it's on the Header of every Page written in Eyehurt-Red. So why it's not in the Archive or locked, like M4D or MeC?
If someone really needs support for it (whoever still plays such an old Minecraft), then he could just post it in the IC²-Supportsection with a passable Title referring to the fact that its IC1.
This change would confuse less People, who are new and not able to read Text written in Eyehurt-Red.
A new small and simple Idea i got:
Why are ".cfg" and ".lang" not allowed as Attachment? They are simple Textfiletypes, which are used by Minecraft, so why not adding them?

zip.
Oh yes, i forgot about zip, because most zips are too large for an Attachment (of course not for configs and languages).
I propose that only those who run servers can suggest nerfs or buffs that add no new and useful content to the game. smp is the only place any one gives a damn about balance so a normal user should refer all their issues to their server admin and not try and screw the entire ic2 user base over to give themselves an edge on their sever.

How would you check if someone has a Server, if its Local (like mine) or not in the Forumserverlist?
Lets not get all dictatorish banning all freedom of speech relating certain topics people find "Annoying". Otherwise i want dibs on banning suggestions altogether i find those pretty annoying too >.>.
And no, stupid questions are not the same as a topic of discussion.

No Dev was online at that time, so spamming every Dev with a PM, seemed to be inneffective.

I can remember when they were limited to what the damn bot had pre-programmed into them.
If it's at all possible, I do have a suggestion, would it be possible to add a captcha to the sign up process? It'll help slow/stop the spambots.
I suggest that every new thread in the Suggestion Subforum gets an automatic poll saying:
-I Approve/Support this idea.
-I don't approve/support this idea.
-I don't particularly care either way.
-*Facepalm* (This one is just for my amusement)
Also if a suggestion gets enough votes in the Don't approve or *Facepalm* option it should be immediately closed and/or moved to the archive (This should be done personally by a admin so it doesn't get abused, but i guess its fine if you want to make it automatic)
With this maybe the "+1" only comments would stop and cleaning the suggestion subforum would be a little less annoying.
there could be a problem with people gaming the system by using proxies and setting up multiple accounts to shut down threads they don't like

Ergo why it should be done by admis personally, if they see a thread have too many negative votes and the comments confirm those negative votes they close the thread. If they see the negative votes but the comments are positive they would leave the thread as it is or ask why there are so much negative votes and just delete them (The negative votes) or something.
In the end thats only a little extra, the real motive of the poll is to stop people just saying "+1" in a thread.
Also, a new rule:
Lightningrod suggestion = Get impaled by said lightning rod then smote with lighting by the almighty dragon lord.
