You can't exactly build a crawlbase with frames...
[Suggestion] Yes, again it's me with a Silversuggestion

You can't exactly build a crawlbase with frames...
In Theory it's possible, but it's only realisable with Computercraft and extreme complicated.
-
it will take more than frames what ever makes a true mobile base also has to update my spawn point while on the move

Do you want to die, or what? You have a frikkin mobile Superbase and seriously want to get outside!
If you are at War then you can stop the Base for a time and use the Bed to reset spawn, and if Eloraam has coded it well (she had enough time), it will move your Spawn with the Bed.
-
I've fallen out of to many air ships experimenting with zeppelin mod. if it is a true mobile base it must update my spawn as it moves and let me work while it moves (the most practical idea seems to be teleporting structures cause you don't have to turn every thing in to entities)
-
You can work in the mobile Base, or at least the Base itself can work, while moving. If you look closely to the Framevideos of Eloraam you will see it. The deathfall with Zeppelinmod is a bug, which i have experienced myself in MCversion 1.0. I don't know if it was corrected, but the Mod was NOT compatible with any IC²-stuff and will cause a Levelcorruption. A Landscapeeater is not a fast Base but it must stop if it overflows, so guess where my spawnpoint then is, while its processing all the Ores and Cobbles.

Will a moving base update E.net stuff from BC/IC/RP properly? expecially generators?

RP definetly, but IC² and BC are unsure, But it's not recommended to build an ICE-CASUC in a mobile base.

We will have to wait until Eloraam Finally releases PR5 (Which is the one coming with frames, she also said its most likely she do a PR4E before PR5), to see what are the limitations of Frames AND HOW exactly do their work before having dreams of making a... Whatever those Mechanical Giraffes where called in Star Wars.
-

In fact, she has already released such.
-
Yeah just noticed, too bad frames wont be in minecraft yet. Dont get me wrong, the magrails and changes to the retriever its cool, but not the kind of thing i need to spike my interest in minecraft again.
Guess ill wait to see what IC2 has in mind before updating.
-
I'm visiting eloraam.com very often, because i can't wait for the Frames ... maybe - that is a conspiracy, oh no.
These mechanical Giraffs you mean are AT-AT and it would be possible to build them, if you are controlling them with a CC-Computer, because RP-Circuits are too large.
-
theoretically since the machine cant tip over you only need one leg to drag you along
-
But four are funnier.
Oh oh, what if the Frames cannot be used for flying Structures!!!
Oh yes, my Landscapeeater is not affected by that but the other people.
If thats true, then i think there WILL be an Exploit to make Structures flying using a Block and a Piston, more hints are not necessary.

Eloraam may be release her own computer to work with frames.

Thats at least pr6 or 8-9 or something. I do know that computers are part of the Tier 3 tech of Redpower. (Redstone Being tier 1, Bluetricity being Tier 2)
-
I see her comps mentioned only. Have anyone more info?

Since silver has the highest electrical conductivity in reality, you should be able to make a nice cable of it. Maybe a MV or HV cable with a relatively low energyloss, for example 1 EU per 10 or 15 blocks, if uninsulated and capable of getting up to 3 layers of insulation resulting in lower losses.

This is the reason why you get 6 Glass Fiber instead of 4 when you use the silver recipe.

actually gold has the highest conductivity in reality but due to the cost if it, gold isn't for large scale electronics, only smaller things like processors and nano-boards.
