the industrial craft 2 wiki is still being updated so dont try to rely much on it until it is finished updating

Does that mean you made one with a charged or uncharged?
Im just using single player commands to give me a energy crystal (its red like redstone but I dunno how to tell if its uncharged)

IC2 doesn't support TMI

That doesnt change anything. Rather than saying "not compatible with TMI" It should say, "Not compatible with non-crafting item creation"
Indeed, I use TMI (am trying reactors and stuff, not wanting to waste loads of stuff in my non-cheated worlds), and nothing is wrong, except batteries/crystals need to 'function' to work, but in recipes they're all non-charged, so you'll have to recharge it again.
