Most ridiculous way to create UU-Matter

  • Im seriously questioning sanity now.
Reactor set to 2048EU/t + Solars 3648EU/t all leading to one Mass Fabricator, add some Scrap with the excess Ice and a overdone Battery.

  • Remember that a mass fab can only use one piece of scrap per tick, which only accellerates 5,000 EU worth of input. Thus, I believe your efficiency starts to decrease significantly after about 2-3k EU/t. (if there's still leftover scrap from last tick's input, it won't use another piece this tick, and you only get the benefit of the remainder, so any additional EU over that doesn't get accellerated) Split your 6k EU/t between 3 MFs, and you'll probably go even faster.

Of course, you're obviously not going for practicality here. :)

  • How do you build a 2048EU/t reactor?
I might build something of this sort as I'm going for 5740EU/t with five CASUC reactors(two breeders, three power generating ones) and it's not easy getting that much scrap.

  • I love Compact Solars, the completly insane amount of energy it can produce: 50000 EU/t

    Makes 1 UU-matter per Second!

  • 1 uu matter = 1.000.000 eu
Scrap provides a 6x boost for 5.000 eu
    UU cost with scrap = 1.000.000 / 6 = 1.666.666,67
    Number of Scraps per UU = 1.000.000 / (6 * 5.000) = 33,33

So we need 33.33 scrap and 1.666.666 uu for a piece of uu matter.

With the limitation of only being able to process 1 scrap per tick,
the maximum input without losing efficiency is simply 5.000

Edit: fixed, didn't check the source.

  • Most of the energy is stored in the MSFU's, the Recyclers and the MF only get 11000EU. I did run a bit too crazy on the overclockers, turns out 24 are slower than 12 and consume a tenth of the energy ...
All running more than smooth now, great for testing.

One other interesting thing, depending on where you put your Ice inside the Reactor it will run different temps, all on the bottom left, will keep it below 500. If you put them only in the Corners you get roughly 1700, along the Sides you get about 800. And the lower the temp, the more of a heartbeat you get, meaning temp spikes every second. Quite interesting to watch, even tho its now failsafe i cant keep my eyes off it :)

  • I'm... Drooling ... D:

    Alblaka says:

"People using their intellect in attempts to discuss other people into the ground could be considered less intellectual then people using their intellect for something beneficial :3"

  • Nope, its exactly 5000EU, not 4901,9EU

Actually, you start losing efficiency at 3EU/t, it just doesn't become significant until you make the jump from 1024 EU/t to 2048 EU/t.

If my math is correct, here are the actual costs of a piece of UUM for the given input rates taking scrap "wastage" into account:
    32EU/t - 167,360 EU
    128 - 170,112
    512 - 170,496
    1024 - 171,008
    2048 - 198,656
    4096 - 249,856
    8192 - 253,952
    10240 - 296,960

    So 4 MFs at 1024 EU/t are 50% faster than 1 at 4096

  • O.O i seem to have sparked something, on another note, can you make food from UUM?
