In this thread we will (hopefully) create a "Machine Guide" for IndustrialCraft², but not in the sense of "Machine X is crafted using Y and turns Z into A", but like... Err... Did you read the OP of the SeedManager Addon with like "And then you have to pull this lever and push this button"? That's what I mean. And if you know how to describe it better, please reply and tell me.
But not only this User Manual part should be here, but also how the machines work. Did you read this thread about the teleporter or this little "discussion" about the extractor? If yes, you probably know what I mean. If not, read it. And if you still don't understand it, tell me and I'll try to explain it better.
To expand this guide, just post replies with what you want added. Preferably post it in the style the guide should be, but if you don't, I'll "translate" it. Inspiration for that style can be found in some of my suggestions, the OP of the SeedManager Addon, a copy of the old IC Minecraftforum OP if anyone has a copy of it and probably in some other places. If you want to be mentioned here, just ask for it.
The terms that are used here are from my language pack . Sources for my language pack are in the language pack's thread.

Hello, costumer!
That you read this user manual means that you bought the full packet of Industrial Craft Machine Corp's Industrial Machines. Before you operate them, please read this manual thoroughly to prevent harm to your posessions and you. Some of the machines are very dangerous and should only be operated by experts.

General
It is not possible to dismantle Industrial Craft Machine Corp Machinery without using proper tools.
A 100% chance to successfully dismount machines is granted solely to skilled Engineers.
We do not take responsibility for any machines lost from the improper handling of wrenches.

Stationary Machines

Maceratron-E-901™
Hello valued customer!
If you are reading this, then you have most likely just placed down your very own Maceratron-E-901™ and by reading this entry you are probably wondering, Almighty User Manual, how am I intended to work this monstrosity of raw grinding power? The answer is a simple 5 step process:

1. Insert the block you want to be completely pulverized to dust into the top slot
2. Connect a source of energy into the Maceratron-E-901™ using an Energy Transfer Cable N-x™, alternatively insert an T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Unit™ other source of energy such as an Rechargeable Energy Storation Pack™ into the designated receptacle.
3. Switch the lever located on the side of the Maceratron-E-901™, to tap into the raw destructive force of 12 interlocking gears!
4. When the green LED glows, switch the lever again!
5. Open the side compartment on the side opposite of the lever and retrieve the macerated object from the side!

If you have tried it out, you may be wondering, but Almighty User Manual, what happened to the stone attached to the ore? Nobody knows, such is the brute power of the Maceratron-E-901™!

Regarding your question: No, if it was, I would have posted it in the Tutorials-section.
Imagine Steve didn't build the machine, but ordered them somewhere and when they appear in a cloud of blue particles, he doesn't know what to do. Then he finds the user manual which explains that eg. he has to press the left button on the Dejuicer-Device of Doom D-123 (Extractor) to get the juice, even though we as players only have to throw it into the GUI. And because he is interested, he orders the encyclopedia where he can read that, for example, the Compress-O-Matic C77 (compressor) can generate? Make? What's the right word? 4000 Gibbl by, let's say, using repelling electromagnets.
Is it clear now? Do you think this can be used in the OP?

Now, we got Iron Furnaces. And we got Redstone dust that for no apparent reason powers circuits indefinitely.

But what happens if you just want to smelt 5 iron ore, wouldn't such an ueber-powerful battery be a waste?
FRIKKIN NO! Because the 3rd advantage of an Electric Furnace is, it will not waste any energy if it isn't currently smelting something.
You can just charge it up with a battery and then smelt what you want, whenever you want.

Deal? Deal! HAYO!

Macerator

Did you ever feel like life was being unfair to you?
Did you ever feel angered about your neighbour miner finding loads of minerals whereas you didn't?
Now, did you ever take a look at his work station?
Do you want to now why he had giant loads of valuable ingots to craft into more awesome stuff?
HE HAD A MACERATOR!
Stupid people (this does not apply to custumers or everyone reading this, but to everyone you personally dislike) smelt ore.
What a shameful waste. You just smelt some ore out of the rock and then trash the remains? Nah, only idiots do that.
Every Pro Miner knows, that 50% of a rocks mineral deposits are surrounded by massive rock and can't be obtained by smelting.
For this problem, we invented the Maceratron-E-901!
It uses the combined force of smart technology and brute force to break open every even so small part of stone, effectively doubling the efficiency of gaining ore.
It takes some time, but will completely waste-free and 100%-sure turn the entire ore-rock into dust and then automatically filter the useless stone out.
As a result, it will return you high-quality ore-dust of whatever material you dropped in there.

And, you may guess it, this dust can be smolten into ingots! Isn't that great? You can easyly DOUBLE your entire ore production. Don't hesitate, BUY NOW, HAYO!

Powered by any energy source, preferably the perfectly-designed T500-Rechargeable Energy Storation Unit, this device can extact amazingly amounts of ressources from stuff.
For example, it improves the ratio of gaining Rubberballs by an ultimate amazing 200%!!!.

But not even that, this device can more! 'What?' do you ask? Now, that's a secret we will tell you later, HAYO!

Compressor

It's amazing how much stuff you can craft with a basic workbench isn't it?
Big machines, boats, extremely nimble circuits, everything can be done just with a few tools.
But though this great circumstance, there ARE a few things you just can't do. And you know that.
However, this device can! Yes, we it can!
Using most advanced technology, the Freakin Compress-O-Matic C77 can create a pressure of over 4000 Gibbl. What is Gibbl you ask?
I don't know either, but it must be something frikkin awesome!
The most ned use of this stunning ability is to create advanced materials, like steel plating and other platingly plating stuff. You know, these stuffs...

Canning Machine

Weren't you ever peacefully exploring the vast landscape and got suddenly attacked by hordes of suddenly appearing, highly dangerous monsters?
Sure, with the right equipment, exspecially if you are using our precious technology, you can fend these beast off. But somewhen, you get hungry, and what then?
For long travels, you will need abnormous amounts of food. And as everyone knows, food takes up quite a lot of space in every backpack.
Tin Cans can make your life much easier...
if combined with the Unmobile Food Canning Machine GTA4!
These device is capable of splitting ANY kind of sourve into it's basic components, mixing them up to a healthy, yet tasty mash.
As well, it can fill this mash with an amazing speed into tin cans and seal them up for unlimited expiry dates!

Recycler

Now, you got the tools to harvest tons of everything. But what happens if all the useless stone and dirt piles up?
Just buy yourself a sweet new Recycler.
Recyclers compress, burn, obliterate and filter EVERYTHING you feed them. LITERALLY! It even ate my shiny diamond block... that wasn't really nice... ... HAYO!
Who cares, because with this devices, i can turn piles of dirt into piles of useful stuff, including many NEW diamonds!
And best of all: It's fast and doesn't use much energy, great, isn't it?
Note: Not every recycling process does successfully return a piece of Scrap. Stop throwing in dirt and instead use valuable ingots, may that will change something.
But, how do you even use the strange stuff coming out from the Recycler?
Easy, just bunch some Scrap together, put a box around it and VOILA, it will suddenly turn into something useful! What exactly? Now... i don't know either, HAYO!

Massfabricator

This is it. The most advanced piece of technology avaible IN THE UNIVERSE, HAYO!It can perform basic energy into PURE MATTER. Actually, even into highly-industrial Universal-Useable Matter.
Feed it enormous amounts of energy, and it will compress the energy via e=mc² into UUM. UUM can be transformed into quite any ressource known to humanity,
simply by putting it in a certain pattern onto your workbench. Epicness at it's best.
Due to being under research, currently there is no archive about which pattern could result in what, though.
One of our scientists claims that feeding a certain material into the Matter Generator could cause it to work much faster.
This material would need to be something which can be produced from ANYTHING, to contain the required molecular atom - stuff, ned by the Matter Generator.
I wouldn't believe this statement, though.

Tesla Coil

How do you defend your well-terraformed, high-costly industrial landscape from pesky animals/creepers/weirdos/thieves? Try a TESLA COIL, HAYO!
This is it: THE latest piece of defensive technology avaible for free usage without the need to buy licenses.
A Tesla Coil, already used by the Soviets to defend against the combined Allied army in the second altered-realm WW, is highly effective, well-ranged and absolute deadly.
First of all, however, you need to charge the Tesla Coil with 5000 EU. Once charged, the Tesla Coil is on stand-by. To ACTIVATE it, apply a redstone trigger.
As long as this Trigger is applied the Tesla Coil will start draining 2 EUs constantly to fuel it's extremely efficient targeting system.
This system will target the first alive object (we will consider undead alive in this matter) within a range of ~4 blocks.
Please take note, we do not take any responsibility for yourself zapping any part of your family/friends, including yourself.

Then the Tesla Coil will unleash the power of technology in form of an extremely powerful, wall-penetrating and quite lethal energy bolt. Of course this will deplete the energy reserve of the Tesla Coil, which will thus need to be recharged again.

Thank you very much! However, as you probably have noticed, this neither is a user manual nor a detailed description of how the machines work, so it doesn't have that much use. But still, thank you very much! If we use the example I used somewhere above this post, this is what made Steve order all that stuff!

Yes, it's the original description, but it's made to tell the player what he has to do in a really funny way. This aims to tell the character, not the player what he has to do. And no, it isn't what I meant by machine encyclopedia, because it says what you throw in and what comes out (let's say, a cookbook) instead of how it works (to stay with the cooking example, a text that explains how the oven is heated and so on). If I offended you in any way I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to.

The names for the machines should be the ones from my language pack(because I used official terms as often as I could and offical-sounding terms where I couldn't, not because it's my language pack), but still thank you very much!
