for K4 i would just add RWG (Realistic World Gen).
And podzol2Diamonds and probably orespawn.
And TiCon and Thermal Expansion.
And EE2.
Should be it.

Don't be silly, ProjectE is much better, it's EMC algorithm makes better exploits.

Hahaha 1:14 is great. Paused at 1 heart, in lava, certain to die
So I have been digging a bit in source code of PFAA / GC and Forge and I think I know what is causing the vm crashes. I will investigate a fix (need to figure out how / if I am allowed to compile forge myself). Therefor I am not pulling GC out just yet.
@HO I need more feedback on that, since it was not "selected" on the original modpack. I personnaly think it is better to have some low tech bandages to regen slowly. That will take the sting out.
@K4 It is kinda hard to pull out mods and keep the servers connected via qcraft.
Chipping in with my thoughts on this.
HO is highly configurable, no doubt. But it becomes a primary mechanic in gameplay very quickly (despite our best efforts). Also without a mod like Pam's harvestcraft that adds a fantastic amount of food items to compliment it, it is not a mod I would recommend adding to this mix. Yes, there are greg's multiple food items and machines, but it is all machine overkill beyond a point.
There is a (very good) pack on FTB launcher called InfiTech2 that dabbles in all 3: hard mode GT, Pam's HC and HO+SoL. The feedback has been polarising on that choice from all the players. Food variety and associated hunger mechanics is not something people want to think about while tackling a still evolving GT mod.
I would rather do the brewing and bee breeding and just be careful while exploring. (The irony of this statement is the fact that more than 2/3 of my deaths would be "hitting the ground too hard" or "falling from a high place" ).
Re K4: Meh... not too invested in whether it comes up or not.
I think there should be an update change log in the OP.
I feel like shooting myself after not being on for a week and having to check what mods changes through 10 pages of posts.

I will add the update log to the top of the SECOND post of the op next time.
Another idea for a new server sometimes in the future: Reduced Oregen close to spawn. Disable/nerv oregen, pregen 1 km around spawn, reenable normal Oregen.
Also i'm thinking about ways to force specialised bases. Like everyone can still do everything, but much less efficient. Then split everything in 10-12 Jobs. When you are of a certain job you can do it again with normal efficiency. 2-3 Jobs can be choosen at the same time.
Like:
Crop Famer (Only ones to use Harvesters and Scanner)
Miner (Only ones to use better Drills, Miners, Miners Backpack/Portable Cell)
Ore Processor (Only ones to use Orewashing, Thermal Cent or Universal Mac)
Bee/Tree Breeder
Chemist
Hightechler
...
That combined with some good way of traiding should lead to the creation of an real traiding town.
Not everyone whould like that since it limits the gamepay, but i hope to hear some other opinions.
I think that is a way to make playing together on a server ore important.
I allways did that a bit by myself a bit by for example not doing crops but bees. So i can sell beestuff but must buy cropstuff. I also tried to start the Playertown a few times or to make resource transfer easy by starting a rail network. I just never really made it to get others involved.
BTW: I do not know a easy way to implement something llike that. Maybe with some combination of Minetweaker, HQM and/or some custom Mod.

I played something like this. Each person got a mystcraft age with 4 ores. Iron, Diamond and 2 your choice but there could only be 2 people having each ore. We set up bases in a non-genned overworld. This was extremely fun at first but then eventually life happened and people stopped playing and essential ores became unavailable.

Lol yes. Took me an hour to update
I heard Master801 applied to the server. Accept him in or else you'll all have a way-too-scary halloween

Needs a bit more thought from a game design standpoint, but do not forget these ideas. Really nice potential for a really fun game(mode?)

It might be cool to have the town where the portals are and restricted ORE/resurces per world. Trade stations in town.
The idea is that people walking by from portal A to portal B might stop more often to trade. Like you have to go trough that path anyway might just see if something is interesting.
I have deployed a forge with some minor code change to K1. We are now awaiting new "fun" to happen. No client upgrades are needed.
Does that mean I can try crashing my rocket on the moon?
May I suggest a GregTech Update? I fixed all Issues with the new Recycling System by now, so there shouldnt be anything wrong.
Oh, and you should remove the Recipes which I added for the Compressed Plates of GC in order to keep the Minetweakered Hard Mode alive (my Recipes are 1 Plate in a Compressor = 1 Compressed, so you should really remove those cheap ones).
I added those cheap Recipes to mirror the also cheap GC Recipes, nothing more.
All the mods need updating actually I want my ugly cape!
Aside desh and meteoric iron, GC ratio is 2 ingot:1 plate , by the way.

Will do, just testing this forge patch to exclude other interference. So far, K1 did not crash since deployment while k2 did. Also added patched version to k2.

By the way, you are wrong. the ratio is 2 : 2. It is only 2 : 1 in the Fuel Powered Ingot Compressor, but not the electric one.
