@Sirus: Of course not, that would be exploitable.
[GT-Suggestions] I still look at this Thread when I got out of Ideas for new things, yes really I do that. Even though I don't edit this Post anymore.

I noticed it is possible to disable the forestry bronze nerf with the following config.
B:bronzeingotcrafting=false
This unfortunately adds back the bronze exploit.
Could you perhaps fix this by providing a config to choose whether bronze follows the IC2 or Forestry standard? So that either ALL bronze is cheap or ALL bronze is expensive.
Also, Forestry itself provides a config to disable forestry bronze ingot crafting, so you don't need to handle that yourself.
If you don't do this I will have to murder you -
Could you possibly add a config that disables making charcoal in furnaces? so that you have to use coke ovens. I think that could be useful in helping to balance tree farms.
-
No its not possible to "ban" Furnace Recipes, especially with the runtime obfuscation thing of Forge. I usually just override the Recipes.
-
Override smelting wood to make air blocks then
-
or ash, more likely. that also helps so you can still get carbon from wood easily.

How would people make torches, then? Coal isn't always near the surface, and they're rather important early-on... Maybe if you allowed ash to be crafted into one torch each.
Also, could you add dusts and centrifuge recipes for Abyssal Stone, Quarried Stone, Skystone (From Biomes O Plenty) and Red Rock from BoB?
Maybe some ideas for them; Abyssal stone could give trace amounts of diamond, emerald, and lazurite dusts, with the rest of the mass being accounted for as basalt dust? Quarried stone could just be the same as marble, maybe with some extra goodies thrown in, red rock could just turn into red rock dust from Biomes XL, while Skystone could be similar to endstone? (The land it comes from requires endstone and a nether star to access, anyway)

Resin. Resin torches.
-
or allow smelting sticks into torches. it's not much of a difference anyway.

You need a fuel to lit the torch first.

Fuel can come from planks. It's six smelts per log with 4 planks, anyway, so not THAT much worse. -

I can get 7.5 smelts from 4 planks...
-
Fuel can come from planks. If you use the torch wood as fuel, it would burn out quickly, not valid.

but torches in minecraft are magical and burn forever.

Gregtech should be modular like Railcraft, one download, but blocks grouped together to form modules. This way i can have my Greg generators and nothing else

Configs are easier and use up less Space.

The modules would be configered in the config, can't see why a config being a bit longer would be a major issue. -
Suggestion for extrabees users, alongside GT :
Allow Liquid DNA to be electrolyzed into Nitrogen, Carbon and Hydrogen, the main components of its molecules.
or simply burnt into semi-fluid generator for some energy.
