That's good. Reddit seems to be predominantly anti - GT (or used to be, not so vocal anymore), but it seems that the forum is about 50:50, maybe more in ICs favour.

No idea why, but the FTB forums resets my password everytime i log off.
meh. -
My trips to the nether are now limited to around 5 minute periods, as after that Minecraft goes nuts, eats all the Memory it gets and more then locks up my PC. Every other dimension is fine too

Boycotting a mod because it is not finished? That's the most stupid thing I have heard all day and I watched a Kanye West Interview today.

Yeah, lets boycott Redpower CHAAAAAAAAARGE!!!

Seems we still have some friends over in the FTB zoo: http://forum.feed-the-beast.co…er-system-is-fixed.42692/
Meh. I gave up on the idle hope for sanity from any form of modpacks communities in general. Hopefully, though, with the way that Minecraft has entered into its development cycles in versions as of late, we may no longer need them for large listings of mods. The only practical reason modpacks were necessary was due to how the block/item ID system worked. If Mojang finally gets that new system where blocks are only referred to by their naming system, then we wouldn't need packs in general for configuration sake...

You have an interesting way of boycotting things by charging at them. Anyway, we've all been boycotting Redpower since MC 1.5 apart from the crazy people who are attempting to update the mess that the code was left in.
-
Maybe rewriting from scratch would be better?
Anyways, the only RP2 thing GT misses are frames.
-
In my opinion Redpower was the first mod to introduce mass automation, with buildcraft you really couldn't do that much. But it's original features have been refined by other mods making it pretty much useless. So I am thankfully saying go away and never come back to RP2.

Starting a new modded (Kethane, and Remotech2) KSP career save.
Should be interesting. -

There is still room for packs that reconfigure things enough to make it into a consistent package. E.g that planned 1.7 GT server thingy where mctweaker is used to add other mods to GT tech tree. While everyone could do that manually vast majority of people won't bother and rather get a pre-configured pack.
ID conflicts themselves are generally a minor issue. Fixing those in my hand-made 80-mod pack takes about 4-5 reboots of MC. Fixing duplicate ores a few more minutes. Overall it doesn't take much to make things run. It's a whole different business trying to figure out what mods are stable enough to be used in first place and modpacks (should) do that.
-
Yeah Modpacks "should" do that, and then don't do it anyways.

Been working on a full back up of my laptop. Started at 8:45 AM and its almost midnight AND ITS STILL F&*%*%^% GOING!!!
My 9:30 am lecture tomorrow is going to be painful...

As long as lazy people exist, there will be modpacks.

Most of our inventions were because people are lazy, bless them. I am one of them by the way.

Every 60 seconds, a minute passes.
Incorrect, minutes pass constantly, since other places in the universe have different time flows relative to us.
